Default Hour meter reading

Ok guys Im still new to the whole hour meter reading on the cubs, virtually of my cubs dont have an meter on them and the ones that exercise accept the dial type meter. I accept no clue how to read them? Maybe someone can assist me out on figuring it out. My 1650 and 1200 have the dial hour meters on them. I would beloved to know how many hours are actually on the mowers.

The white needle is to prove the meter is working. The red is for service intervals. The yellowish is the total hours plus the red service intervals added together.

Lew, assist me out here. So what your saying is the total hours on the tractor is the xanthous and blood-red added together?

on a thirty+ year old tractor you may end up having to guess after all.

a few examples

the yellow arrow and crimson pointer are both pointing to 60

so...... this meter is either reading 0 hours, 600 hours, 1200 hours, etc. No real style of telling. Just like looking at a clock with both hands pointing to 12. Without additional data, you lot don't know if it'due south noon or midnight by but the clock easily. When brand new and then at every additional 600 hours of on time, the judge will look merely like this.

x hours afterwards,

the yellow arrow will advance between 600 and 60. The hours must exist somewhere between 0 and 60hrs, or between 600 and 660, or between 1200 and 1260hrs, etc. No real mode of telling. With the red pointer at 10 hours, the estimate is either reading 0 +10 hours, 600 + 10 hours, 1200 +10 hours, etc. No mode of really telling but you should offset to come across a pattern developing here.

Here'due south 1 that is reading either 60 +thirty = ninety hours or 690 hours or 1290 hours, etc.

Here's 1 reading either 580 hours, 1180 hours, 1780 hours, etc.

Best advice is to look at the yellow hand. Go to the lower of the ii numbers surrounding the xanthous hand (in the instance higher up the yellow hand is between 540 and 600 - and then get to the lower number which is 540). And so ADD the number indicated past the red manus (in this case 40). So add together 40 to 540 and the reply is 580 hours.

The white paw motion shows the gauge is powered on and clocking time. Peradventure someone knows how long it takes for the white paw to complete one revolution.

perhaps some other simplification would help

do away with the outer minutes and but look at the inner hours circle with the yellowish pointer

The meter now becomes a crude 600 hour meter and yous need to interpret where the xanthous arrow sits between a range of lx hour segments. In this case betwixt 180 and 240 hours.

Then the gauge above shows approximately 210 hours. In one case the yellow pointer goes beyond the 600 hours marker - you lot start guessing at actual hours. 600 ? 1200? 1800? or more - just like an one-time time car speedometer "turning over" at 99,999 miles and reading 0 miles again.

The outer blood-red arrow scale just adds more than definition down the single hour

If originality is not a major concern, these gauges are quite nice for the cost http://world wide web.ebay.com/itm/1PCS-New-Bla...item41699a43bb

The bad affair well-nigh the hr meter or maintanence minder is you never know how many times they have turned over from 600 to 0 again (or 700). Could kinda guess by the wear and tear on the tractor. I similar the 60 minutes meter on my 1772 and 782D. No guessing there (if it works correctly ).

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as office of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of backyard and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. At that place were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market place attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front end loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Buck advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - best-selling by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged structure.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held equally a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which immune them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive part and integrated Cub Buck into its other lines of power equipment.
